Areas of Practice

The core of Mr. D’Orlando’s practice concerns trusts and estate matters, including estate planning, estate administration and Orphans’ Court/Surrogate Court proceedings, as well as real property transactions and disputes, commercial transactions, business/entity formation and general litigation.

Professional Experience

Prior to forming The D’Orlando Firm, PLLC, Mr. D’Orlando worked as an associate with the law firm of Alan L. Frank Law Associates, P.C., having spent eight years in private practice with the firm handling both litigation and transactional matters prior to establishing The D’Orlando Firm, PLLC. Alan Frank Law Associates, P.C. is a full service law firm located in Jenkintown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, representing individuals and business entities in a wide range of legal matters. The firm has extensive litigation experience in State and Federal Court and in arbitration forums, and has successfully litigated cases in the Tri-State region and throughout the United States. The firm maintains offices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, and the firm’s attorneys are licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York, and Florida.

Mr. D’Orlando previously worked as an associate with a boutique corporate securities firm in northern New Jersey where he was responsible for assisting small to mid-cap corporate clients with SEC compliance and corporate governance, advising on transactional matters, and facilitating private placements and public listings on international stock exchanges.

Prior to starting in private practice in January 2013, Mr. D’Orlando served as Judicial Fellow with the Court of Common Pleas for the 1st Judicial District of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia County clerking for judges in both the Civil Division and Family Division, as well as a pro bono volunteer attorney with the Philly VIP as a Legal Fellow through the Louis D. Brandeis Legal Society.

Mr. D’Orlando previously worked as a Major Motion Picture Talent Agent Assistant at a top-tier talent agency in Hollywood, California where he managed desk of an A-list motion picture talent agent and assisted in the management of the contracts and the professional careers of a stable of actor-clients. He also gained professional experience in the media and marketing industries while working with a large advertising firm in Chicago, in addition to experience in the professional and collegiate sports industries, where he worked with the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2005-06 season and the NCAA Compliance Department of Penn State University in 2010-11.

Honors, Memberships, and Affiliations

Mr. D’Orlando is a member of the Bucks County Bar Association and the Delaware County Bar Association, and has held memberships with the Philadelphia Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, and the Brandeis Law Society, serving on the Legal Fellows Committee. Mr. D’Orlando previously served as a Volunteer Attorney with the Pennsylvania Innocence Project and was selected to serve as a Board Observer with the Philadelphia based non-profit Scenic Philadelphia through the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Non-Profit Board Observer Program.

Mr. D’Orlando is also a certified arbitrator with the Compulsory Arbitration Center for the Civil Division of the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia County.

Mr. D’Orlando previously served as a Senior Editor of the Penn State Law Review, a Member of the Moot Court Board, and was selected to represent Penn State Law in Vienna, Austria as a member of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition Team.

For over 40 years, Mr. Pearson has focused his practice in the areas of trusts and estate matters, including estate planning, estate administration and Orphans’ Court/Surrogate Court proceedings. He has drafted countless Wills, Trusts and other estate planning documents for clients, as well as guiding numerous families and clients through the Estate Administration process in Philadelphia, Delaware County and the surrounding Pennsylvania and New Jersey counties.
